There’s a lot I could say about this book but I really can’t be bothered so I’ll just say this: the main character claims to be a “fierce LGTBQ ally”, but then immediately outs her best friend because “her being gay isn’t a big deal”. Maybe not to Marnie but being forcibly outed is certainly a big deal to Miranda and Andrew.

This was a good start. The characters were set up wonderfully. The plot was well flushed out and there are points that were smoothly tied and weaved in the story. Marnye is a strong smart girl, who is a normal person. She isn't weirdly not like other girls or an air head either. The "rich boys" all have their own personality and are easy to distinguish from one another. The ending was a good enough cliff hanger and tie up to make me want to grab book two.
In the end I quite liked this book. I will say it took me a little while to get into, getting used to all the characters and where they fit. I also felt like the first half was a bit slow. I think it took the boys a while to warm up to Maryne and for me, there was no definite turning point, which I felt like I needed to solidify their relationship.
I did really enjoy the three seperate and distinct personalities of the boys, Zayd is a definite favourite.
I was a bit annoyed by the constant secret keeping, especially in regards to the Infinity Club, but once it played out I felt it was worth it.
I’d definitely recommend this book, and will be starting book 2 immediately!

All the STARS
This book it by far the best bully book I've read to date! Everything I read from this point on will be measured by the story's standards. It grabs you from page one and draws you into their world. These characters are fierce! You never know who can be trusted. Dang the Bad Boys!!! I can't wait for the next book In diving right in! This is a New to me Author and just wow I'm completely blown away. Definitely a must-read!

Trigger warnings for the entire series: bullying, harrasment, attempted suicide, alcoholism, drug use, assault (sexual and physical), child abuse, abandonment, homophobic people.
I very much appreciate that the bully-romance wasn't acted out in one book where the MC gets bullied and then falls in love and dates her bully and lives happily ever after all in the course of one book. I appreciate the growth of the characters and how people weren't forgiven right away and they had to earn it. I also like the no-bullying message.
Also appreciate how when certain sexist or otherwise tropes were used, that it was commented on (a little on the nose, but I appreciate a self aware author).
***
Surprisingly liked it.
Definitely liked the ending. Marnye's actions annoyed me quite a bit, but still enjoyed this one.

i’m sorry but is c.m. stunich really trying to convince us that all these characters are 15?!?!?
also instead of marnye getting with the boys in the end, i wish she would kill them and their friends.
