“What they don’t know is that the hardest hearts are forged in fire. With their cruelty and their jokes and their laughter, they’ve forged me into something spectacular.”

Ritch boys (and girls) making everybody else feel like peasants. I couldn't stop reading, this is so captivating! Loved it.
challenging dark emotional slow-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Character
Strong character development: Complicated

Although it’s listed as “new adult”, it felt super young. That was disappointing. And the lead girl was too soft and non confrontational.

LOL what a dumbass

Okay this book is like a watered down sexualized version of the Japanese Manga Hana Yori Dango accept it disgust me comparable because Hana Yori Dango is an intense brilliant piece and this book is a pile piece of moo
I don't care about any of the characters in this book, not even the protagonist, she is a fucking idiot is what she is.
This white girl is dumb as fudge, she get bullied by these guys and she lets that go cause she is in love with all them, they suddenly become nicer to her out of nowhere and she doesn't think maybe it's a trap, THE B*TCH BETRAYS HER ONLY FRIENDS, she is completely foul for what she did to Miranda and Andrew. What happen to her at the end is fucking karma is what it is and no worse that what she deserves.
Like seriously I think I hate our MC more than I hate the guys and that's saying something

GOSH DAMN

This book was easily one of the top five darkest ones I’ve read with bullying. And omg was it good.

Marnye is honestly one of my favorite FMC. She is strong and resilient. Life literally keeps on drop kicking her and she continues to pick herself up.

She’s the perfect FMC who portrays that when in your darkest moment yes you can give up but if your strong enough you keep on fighting and that is exactly what she does.

I love Miranda and Andrew hopefully they can forgive Marnye cause she truly wasn’t trying to hurt them.

F*ck the idols. Especially the females and their little posey. They’re the textbook definition of entitled rich spoiled little b*tches who don’t work for anything and expect everyone to follow their beck and call cause of who they are and how much money their daddies have.

This book is literally how the richest people (in most cases) view anyone who had to actually work their butts off for things in their lives. People who are poorer than them.

Ugh. I love this series.

Favorite quote “The hardest hearts are forged in fire; the weakest bend under their will. And revenge … is wicked sweet.”

Marnye girl I’d have your back!

slow-paced

I want to like this book, I really do, but I find it quite difficult to when there’s so many things wrong about.

The book burning was just bizarre. I don’t understand how Money got to upset about it (like, she cried???)Firstly, it’s handwritten, ain’t nobody gonna read that un-ironically. You can burn my favourite book in front of me (handwritten) and I wouldn’t bat an eye. Like so what, they payed for it, so, sorry Money they can do whatever they want with it (dog-ear it and all!). I understand Money has memories tied to it, but…you can legit buy that book anywhere. Secondly, TTOBAB is kinda boring, I guess, like there’s no story at all. And they all laughed like they actually did something? So sorry Tristan, you ain’t done shit.

Something strange for a change: the buildings. Burberry Prep is built around a chapel, but next to it is an ungodly sight; a monstrous twelve story building. Don’t forget, that the elevator opens up into the classrooms, so I just imagined a tall ass tube (which was sKIny heh) beside a church. Something ain’t addin’ up son.

These 15-year-olds are smoking, drinking, playing poker, gambling, getting tatted-up, having smexy times, yet nobody seems to care. Also, they may or may not be jacked up on steroids…specially Tristan, my god.

Not to mention, they all seem to have pRobLeMS?

oH nO!

Don’t even get me started on the hierarchy. Five out of the six ‘Idols’ are first years, 15-year-olds, freshmen! Let me tell you this in case you never stepped into a highschool, upperclassmen do not listen to their inferiors.

Now for the rich people speel. Just because rich people are rich doesn’t mean they have to give half their life savings to the poor family starving ‘cross the tracks. I won’t comment on that any further, but that certain topic brings in many other factors that people just don’t seem to understand. This type of commentary comes up in (nearly) every book that features a poor MC, and I’m honestly tired of it. Besides, nobody likes a charity case (I kid).

In case you’ve forgotten, Burberry and Money’s (and Zach’s) hometown is a “days drive” away from each other. So at the very least 13 hours (Lizzie’s school bla bla bla). So, you cannot tell me that these guys, who live on opposite sides of the country, know each other, and have BEEF with each other…

Speaking of, Zach. Apparently his family has enough money to send him to a private school, but the school he somehow ended up attending was had metal detectors and a police force on hand (Money’s words not mine). I’m sorry, no “rich” and “elite” parent would send their child to a school like that. “He’s private school material”, bull-fucking-shit.

And Malinda or whatever just happened to go to school with Money’s half-sister? I guess the author really needs to show that these people have connections.

But it’s all okay, because it’s fiction

Can’t wait to read more

I’ve never read a bully romance that is this intense with characters this young. C.M. Stunich makes her characters seem otherworldly almost. Amazing and captivating writing.

its a dnf for me

Holy cow!!!

I held off reading this for a number of reasons.

For one, I'd never read a reverse harem and the idea didn't really excite me. To me, it sounded a little too strange and I couldn't see myself getting attached to more than one boy. I was wrong.

For another, the reviews were mixed. About the heroine, about the (anti)heroes, about the things that went on in their world. But isn't that the very point of reading fiction? To escape our own lives in step into ones we don't exist in? I loved every second of this fancy boarding school, the rich, outrageous parties, and all the secrets these students held. The age didn't bother me, I actually think it's smart to follow them through all four years.

Anyways, I loved this book. Seriously loved it. Devoured it. I loved all of the boys (well, I hated them, but I loved that I hated them) and I have a thing for broken, but strong heroines. Marnye fit the bill, and I felt her emotions to be believable. It just be like that sometimes...who hasn't started having a crush on someone that definitely didn't deserve it?!

Anyways, I can't wait to see what happens next. But enjoy this and don't hesitate to read it like I did. Just do it!!!!
