To be honest, the book was okay, however I was advertised a spicy romance, and all I got was one spicy chapter at the very end. The very last chapter. And that wasn't even spicy. I would still read the next book though. 3/5.

In this story, beauty and the beast meets frozen (or the snow queen as was the original to that retelling) in a unique and exciting plot of revenge.
The characters each have their own struggles and motivations, but the book does focus more on the FMC so exploration is deeper into her motivations than that of the MMC. It is very easy to understand where the FMC is coming from and the events that culminated in her actions going forward.
The actions of the MMC will endear you to him, and his development is something to inspire curiosity.
This was an enjoyable read and I am very eager to see how the next installment plays out.

Okay, I've genuinely had to actually sit and think about how i can put my review into words. I would like to say, again, that Holly Rose is a PHENOMENAL author and deserves every bit of love!!
Bride of the Winter King is about The Winter King, who chose a Summer Queen every year but mysteriously go missing, never to be seen again, before they become Queen. That is, until he met Adara. But Adara doesn't care about being the Summer Queen. She came to do one thing and one thing only. Get revenge. Her sister, Dalia, was chosen to be the Summer Queen 3 years ago and, like always, disappeared before she was crowned the Queen. Adara thinks she was killed. This is why she came for revenge. And she will do anything and everything in her power to get it. No matter the risks.
This book was described as "Beauty And The Beast meets Frozen," and honestly, i couldn't describe it any other way. It was as if these two disney movies had a baby, and out The Bride Of The Winter King came!!!
The world building was on another level of brilliant, the characters were incredible and so interesting and the storyline was fantastic!!
I need a whole book about The Winter King because he has SO many secrets that i just want to find out about. Theres a few times throughout (THIS IS A TINY SPOILER!!!!!) where he mentioned things that seemed like he couldn't control the frost, and i. Want. To. Know. Why!!
I loved Adara. She is so fearless and incredible, and she's certainly a force to be reckoned with. I love that she stayed true to her mission throughout the entire story, even when conflicted with feelings towards the Winter King.
I love the fact that this was an enemies to lovers that you can definitely see the change happen. You are right there with Adara when she starts feeling less hate towards the Winter King and more unexpected feelings. With some books its like the author switches a light switch and they become lovers when a chapter ago they were mortal enemies. Holly said, "You want enemies to lovers?, i got u.". It was FANTASTIC!! You definitely need book two for the rest of the lovers part, though!!
The one thing i have a love/hate relationship with Holly, tho, is THE CLIFFHANGERS SHE FINISHES HER BOOKS WITH!! Anyone would think she died half way through the book and thats why it ended like that, but no, no Holly is just cruel, and makes us readers who read the series before its fully out, wait. This one, though. This one was something else. And im PREPARED to build a time machine and travel to the near future just so i can read the second book!
If you ever ever ever read any fantasy book in your life, let it be this one!!!! It was insane!! I literally read over 75% of it all in one go!!!! I BEG you to read this book!! And please read any of Hollys books!! She's an INCREDIBLE author!!!

Really enjoyed the premise but it was far too short to give the characters the dimension needed!
