The story was very trope-y. If you enjoy single dad/nanny, brother's best friend, and movie star tropes then this book would be perfect for you since it's a mash up of all of them, but I don't think I would have picked it up had I not received a copy for review. It is short, upbeat, and steamy which is perfect for the current state of the world.

Narration: Teddy Hamilton is great, he's one of my preferred Male narrators. 4/5 The female narrator was new to me and I wasn't impressed. 3/5

Hilarious

This book is quirky, flirty, and fun. I love Kayley Loring’s writing. She always delivers the best rom com books.

Really lovely romance

Willa has loved Shane since she was twelve and now she's going to be his nanny. Should be fine. Twins, a gorgeous actor dad and a nutty perfumer nanny just might make a family. Hot and steamy friends to lovers romance.

finally, a romance writer that doesn't hate women and make the ex-wife/bio mom villainously bad

This is the first book from Kayley Loring that I've read but if they're all like this then it won't be anywhere near my last! I started off with a few rocky moments but before long I was just loving the characters & the story. My issues? The characters were quirky. Now, I know that I ended up loving that about them but initially, it was too quirky too quickly. Everyone was just adorable & I know it's just a small thing, but a lot of books that I read that feature children has their dialogue being too 'adult' which doesn't really convince me. This book got it spot on.

I found the relationship between the MCs very surface level and Willa holding a bit of a grudge towards Shane for her unrequited crush on him as a kid just made me roll my eyes. You met him once when you were 12, get a grip.
Other than that it was an OK read, amusing and kinda entertaining but nothing spectacular or memorable story wise. 🌶.5

Very much enjoyed this!

5 stars for a great story! I thoroughly enjoyed it and I loved the kids. The writing style was a little different for me. I stumbled through sentences frequently because the word order slowed me down. Still, a really good read for me!

This book was just so great - I can't believe I left it on my tbr for so long.

I immediately connected with Willa as I too love the smell of pipe tobacco. Shane was just the perfectly written tired, just trying to keep it all together single Dad. He will definitely make you swoon. His kids were also really great characters and I like when they are necessary for the story and not forgotten about. Highly recommend Shane and Willa!
