I was drawn in by the cover and the premise; the writing style of the first half almost had me walk away; once the plot started forming, I was glad I stuck around.

I think this would make a better TV series than it did a book.

It was quite dark and edgy, and at times it felt ridiculous. It was okay but I would not read it again. I didn't like the romance aspects, but the friendships and the sister was awesome.

I LOVE Chris Whitaker's work, and was excited to read one set in the UK! I got so drawn into all the characters, especially Mae, and the idea that even the worst people - someone like Hunter - are really good, deep down, hidden under layers of pressure. God. I hope when the world ends I get to die with a fresh slate.

DNF - premise was there but unfortunately wasn’t followed through and was hard to follow.

ok so the idea was really cool but here were my problems with it:

1 romanticising sh/ suicide vibes. i mean i doubt if that was the purpose but it felt like that
2 fat shaming
3 all the characters names and personalities were the same i could not keep track
4 casually killing and burying two people (they sucked but still)
