A lovely faerie tale, filled with lyrical language. I am reminded of Terry Brooks' Shannara series, but more fanciful. I really enjoyed this book, much more than I expected.

Really enjoyed this story, was hard for me to put it down. I enjoyed the storytelling through the different perspectives throughout. The descriptions of the worlds were the perfect amount of detail while leaving room for imagination to fill in. Plan to read again in the future

A wonderful read, Gaiman knows how to take the reader on a truly delightful journey. It made me want to go on an adventure.

Neil Gaiman prostě umí a zvládne cokoliv.

“It’s a strange place, The Imagination. A lot of fun by day, when there are all sorts of reassuring and familiar sights and people around. But it’s scary, and cold at night, and places you knew perfectly well by daylight aren’t the same after the sun’s gone down.”
Magical! Definitely recommend the audio version read by Neil Gaiman...this was such a treat.

If you ever get a chance to listen to the audiobook version of this book, especially if it is read by the author Neil Gaiman himself, take it. I should mention I'm not sure if there is another version read by anyone else. I really thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was an faerie tale that dipped into adult situations just enough that it wasn't a childs book and yet the story itself wasn't over wrote and was a nice easy read. The descriptions of the journey weren't too detailed (not like the LotR trilogy, wonderful though they are) and there was plenty of entertaining and overall brilliant dialogue. Gaiman has such a great soothing voice and he does wonderful character voices too. The book doesn't take long to get through either. I finished listening to it in one 8 hour shift at work today. Overall a great way to pass the time.

Stardust is an absolute delight that transports you into a whimsical world of magic, adventure and romance. It’s perfect for those who are new to the fantasy genre, as it effortlessly captures the essence of a fairy tale while weaving a captivating narrative.

From the very beginning, Stardust invites you into a charming and cozy world. The story revolves around Tristran Thorn, a young man who embarks on a quest to find a fallen star beyond the Wall. Gaiman's writing style is both elegant and accessible, making it easy to get lost in the pages of this magical journey. The book's pacing is just right, keeping you engaged and eager to discover what lies ahead.

I loved the wide array of encounters that Tristran experiences throughout his quest. Each encounter feels like a mini-adventure in itself, adding to the overall charm of the story. Gaiman's ability to create vivid and unforgettable characters is truly remarkable.

The book is enchanting and will captivate you with its charm, imagination and heartfelt storytelling.
