If you love a grumpy/sunshine romance then you will love The Grumpy Boss Agreement! Cole is a big time sports agent whose life is work and his son, but he is no match for the always sunny and upbeat Savannah. Cole comes back home to regroup and rethink his career. His brother coerces him to help him with a new project and insists he needs an assistant. Savannah is broke so while working for Mr. Grumpy Pants isn't idea, she takes the job. Can the cold hearted grump let some light and love into his life, he will if she has anything to say about it. This has the perfect amount of angst, drama, family dynamics and oh the chemistry they have! What a great start to the Cape Simone Billionaires series and I can't wait to read the next one!

After Cole is left at the alter he moves back to his hometown and agrees to help his brother with a project. Savannah needs to make more money and she is hired as his assistant. She is bright and friendly and the exact opposite of Cole.
The thing is, right after Cole’s fiancé left him Cole and Sav shared a life changing kiss that Cole can’t get out of his mind…but he is not getting into another relationship. No matter how grumpy Cole is Sav always responds with smiles and sunshine. The more they work together the harder it is for Cole to ignore his feelings….
Cole and Savannah had great chemistry and really played into the grumpy/sunshine trope. They had really great banter and I loved how Savannah would push back on him. She had focused for so long on putting on a positive face, it was hard for her to be honest about her feelings. Cole was also struggling with feelings of fear. Her relationship with Charlie was very sweet and I loved the special performance at the end of the book!!
“Thundercloud and sunshine fell in love. Thundercloud was grumpy. He was mad and sad…Sunshine was lonely. She thought no one saw her.”
I really loved Cole’s family! The entire community of Cape Simon had a great cast of quirky characters.

It was a cute read.
This is the first book I have read from this author and it was an easy, and flirty read. I absolutely loved Savannah, her confidence and sassiness was fantastic. I enjoyed how she was able to stand up for herself against the grumpy Cole. She was pure sunshine, and exactly what Cole needed to lighten up his life and attitude.
Personally, Cole was not my favorite. He was obnoxious and rude for the majority of the book not only towards Savannah but his family as well. In my opinion his treatment of Savannah was not impressive. It was only in the last few chapters of the book ,his sweet and charming side came out.
I adored Charlie, as well as Cole and Savannah's families, they definitely added to the lightheartedness of the book. This was a nice start to this new series and an enjoyable read.

This is a brilliant start to a new series from Vivian Wood.
Cole is back in his home town and still licking his wounds from his fiancee leaving him at the altar months ago. When his brother Rex talks him into building a sports complex he goes all in but he needs help.
Savannah is known for being full of sunshine but can she change Cole from being a grumpy boss when she starts working for him as his assistant.
It isn't long before the chemistry between bubbles over and they can't keep their hands of each other but what happens when Savannah finds out the secrets he has been keeping from her.
Loved reading this book and Cole's son Charlie is so sweet. A must read.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

This book made me feel like I had been transported to the small town of Cape Simon and was getting to know all the people personally.
The starting scene itself shows us why Cole is a forever Mr. Grumpy, when the mother of his child and the woman he's been with for around eight years, leaves him right at the Altar and he's shocked to even process the humiliation.
Savannah is truly a ray of sunshine and she believes in being happy no matter what she's going through. She lives by the motto that her mother has taught her -
“𝑮𝒊𝒓𝒍𝒔 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒃𝒆 𝒃𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒂𝒔 𝒔𝒖𝒏𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒚.”
What happens when Mr. Grumpy meets the uber Miss. Sunshine ☀️? Oooh.... Sparks fly and there's no stopping them.
We also see that Cole has a lot going on, on the work front and as Savannah starts working for him, she sees the many different plates that he's juggling.
As these two start working in close proximity, it becomes more and more difficult to resist the raw chemistry that seems to be like an electric current between them.
It was oh so fun and also teasing in the way we see Cole constantly fighting the pull he feels towards Savannah.
Especially when his ex keeps on pestering him and he is reminded of being hurt.
Cole's family is really cool and caring. Also, little Charlie was simply adorable and I loved the fact that Cole might be many things but he was the best dad for Charlie as he never let his little boy feel anything else but loved.
The best part of reading small town romances is becoming part of a closely knitted community where everyone knows everyone's business but it is also endearing to see how they come together as one group when anything happens.
I loved experiencing life in Cape Simon especially the Community Center part was my favourite for how Savannah and others cared for the little ones and made life fun for them. Not only teaching but creating fun opportunities.
Savannah and Cole really have melted me with their - Will They or Won't they? question and they definitely made me work for them to come together but I greatly enjoyed spending time with them as I absolutely loved them.
Can't wait for more to come from this series as book 1 has definitely won my heart and made me feel so much. Loved loved this one.💋💋

This has some of my favourite tropes- office, boss/employee, small town, found family, grumpy/sunshine but the slow burn ‘killed’ it.
The plot follows the story of a jilted single dad and his newly employed personal assistant.
It was a miss for me. The book dragged for me and I just went through the motions to finish it. It would have worked with fewer pages/chapters. The extra chapters were simply not needed.
I didn’t really connect with both main characters. They were both off and did not project the vibes I usually get from characters who work together.
They were too grumpy and sunshine-y which at the end of the day was an overkill.
I received an advanced copy and the review is mine and voluntary.

Phew! The grump was strong with this one, but not as strong as the sunshine. The Grumpy Boss Agreement was a really enjoyable story with lots of great supporting characters. I really enjoyed watching Sav develop and really come into her own and take charge of who she is and what she wants. This story had a lot of heart and a lot of swoon with a wonderful HEA.
