DNF at 27% unfortunately. I’m not clashing with the writing style and I don’t feel a connection between the two characters like I would have hoped by now as it’s 500 pages long I’m around 120 pages in. I find the MMC rude at times. The storyline is okay just not gripping enough to keep going.
Also the MMC son calls his grand father Big Daddy which personally I struggle with nick names in general just Big Daddy is not it.

I was completely hooked on this read and couldn't put it down! Cole and Savannah have an interesting start. He's grumpy, she's sunshine, but they have a great pull to each other. There is spice and steam, heart and connection, to each other, their family, and the small community. I loved that grit she has as well. The story flowed well, it didn't feel rushed, and was able to pull at different emotions as the pages turned. It's a great start to a new series and I cannot wait to dig into other members of the family!
