I needed a book to reset my reading mood. I have been stuck in a dark romance zone and this was a nice segue into something happier.

"Human" thrown to magic and werewolves
This was fun to read and had me laughing and shaking my head. A Romeo and Juliet story, with family feuds and betrayal. I can't even imagine what can happen next and I look forward to reading more.

I love the cover art and really wanted to get on board with this, but there was no chemistry between the FMC and MMC. Not to mention our FMC just kept throwing herself into every situation. I felt like nothing was really thought out, she just rushed in head first.

I love shifter books and I definitely need more in my life. Physical copies, please!!
I was always a vampires girl and shifters never got to me the same way. I was never exactly Team Jacob, if you get my drift. Anyway, I've been very much into shifters lately and this was free on Amazon so I thought, "Why not?"
Took me a long time to finish this because I feel into a reading slump without realizing it because I was reading. My mood just wasn't into much of anything. Anyway.
I really liked this book. Jam packed with action from beginning to end. I did struggle between liking Savannah or not because her darned obsession with her car is annoying but she was totally badass even though she had no clue what she was doing and Jaxson was pretty mixed as well. I think I may have liked Sam and Casey more than the two MCs in this one but I was hooked pretty fast. The world building was really great and I loved how many supernatural inclusions were in this. You got the shifters but also vampires, demons and sorcerers.
I am intrigued and cannot wait to get my hands on book 2 so I can continue this series.

I really love Savannah and her story a lot! It’s interesting to see more of Magic Side! I can’t wait to see what happens next!

“You have some explaining to do, Laurent.”
This was a quick paced urban fantasy that kept me on my toes. Savannah Caine learns the secrets about her family in a whirlwind week while also finding out her life is in danger. She is torn between her family and the only person she thinks can protect her, Jaxson Laurent.
The dynamic between Jaxson and Savannah is tense and explosive from the beginning and this book has left me dying to know what happens! This was the perfect quick read to get me over my reading slump!
I highly recommend picking up this book if you are in the mood for something quick paced and fun! Veronica Douglas nailed it!

DNF at 10% realized it wasn’t a mate story and just wasn’t my vibe. Still well written but not for me.
