I really enjoyed this book a lot. I thought it was a fun and fast read. I really liked the friendship of the 4 characters.
I am glad that I got to read an ARC of this.

this was so good! i thought this book did an amazing job showing how queer artists are marginalized in the entertainment industry. ruben and zack were absolutely adorable!

4.5 stars!

THIS WAS AMAZING!

I love Sophie Gonzales and I knew that this book of hers with Cale Dietrich was one that I couldn't miss.

We follow Ruben and Zach, members of super famous boyband Saturday. The two along with Angel and Jon, the other two members of the band, have created an unbreakable fanbase and a super tight knight relationship backstage. During an European tour, under all the pressure of performing and all the tight schedules the band is put under, Zach and Ruben end up spending more time together than usual. Until eventually they realise they are falling for each other.

This is absolutely adorable with just enough angst and tension to keep you glued to the page. I'm serious, I read this in one day!

It's so much fun to be reading about the ups and downs of just normal teenage boys who grown famous too quickly and just want to be themselves.

Absolutely a must read for everyone everywhere!!!

So super cute and the friendship between band mates was just SUPERB.

Not gonna lie, i picked this up expecting it to be poorly scrubbed one direction fanfic. But it was genuinely SO good. I laughed, I smacked my hand over my mouth, i yelled, my tummy fluttered… It was genuinely such a lovely story with a lot of emotions.

I had a fun time reading it! It was good!

My Recommendation: OMG YES, YES, YES! I loved the journey and could've read another 100 pages easily. From #Anjon to #Zuben I am here for this novel. The only thing I can say is I wish it would've come out years and years ago when I was a little closeted teen not-so-secretly loving the height of BSB, NSCYNC, B2K, 98 Degrees, O-Town and general boy band/girl group craze. The writing was seamless between Gonzales and Dietrich and made me want to seek out the other book by Dietrich I haven't read yet.

My Response: My little closeted teenage heart would've died to read something like this in the late-90s/early-00s. So, when I saw it on NetGalley I requested it IMMEDIATELY, the publisher approved, and I have been sitting on it for months.*

I know I've said it before and I'll keep on saying it—I am SO jealous of all the teens today getting to see themselves in books like this. I mean hell I enjoy them and I am WELL outside the target demographic for these.

But like WE’RE GETTING A SEQUAL RIGHT!?
I was so excited for this one and it lives up to the hype! Nor serious than I thought but in a good way. And shoutout to the third act *almost* breakup.

My younger self is sobbing right now! This book was amazing! I love this trope but it is so hard to write without it coming off like a fanfic. (fanfics are amazing so that is absolutely no shade to you fic writers out there.) This book somehow managed to make it work. Maybe because the boys didn't resemble any current core bands or maybe it was just the fantastic writing style either way it worked. I felt like Saturday was a real band and I grew attached to each member. I especially loved Ruben.
I also loved the commentary on the music industry. Here in more recent years we are hearing more and more about how music labels push and mistreat artist in order to make better profits and I loved that it was addressed here. It was done well and it felt realistic.
The way Angel's problem with substance abuse was handled as well was beautifully done. The way the authors didn't make it into a joke or even his core personality trait just something he was suffering through felt so genuine.
I could go on for ages about this book if someone let me. This book actually made me sob and I can not wait to make everyone read it.
