Just not as good as the first one. Some stories were a little bit half-baked, and needed some revision. I still loved visiting Centerburg again, but for sure the stories that aren't be Grandpa Herc are better.

Listened to the audiobook with Emma and Will. They loved it just as much as the original, but I found this one a bit over the top to really enjoy. Instead of each chapter being its own stand alone story, the story was continuous and more like a series of tall tales.

We are back in the world of Homer and Centerburg. There is still plenty happening in this town. Homer is working one day and a traveling salesman named Atmos P. H. Ear (I love that name. It’s a good one.) walks in selling EVERSOMUCH More-so! It’s basically nothing, no smell, taste, touch, sound, or odor. He’s selling an idea, but this can of nothing will make anything Ever so much more so. There are several adults around. Atmos sprinkles this stuff on donuts and says, don't they taste ever so much more so and the adults agree. They all buy a can and it's Homer who figures out they were had. Still this is a funny little story.

This is not my favorite McCloskey book, but it’s swell enough.

I didn't realize that there was a sequel to [b:Homer Price|766917|Homer Price|Robert McCloskey|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1348994806s/766917.jpg|3259531] until I was just happening to scroll through Goodreads one day. Since Homer Price has been a favorite of all my children (and me), I couldn't help but buy a copy for our house. The stories are wonderful and completely charming. I still love all the characters and little town, but I couldn't help but make comparisons between the two books, and feel that Homer Price was much better. It's still a great book though. Here are my children's experiences:

Ellie (age 6): 5 stars. I loved it because Dulcey's seeds and they grew
Spoiler bigger than trees.

Connor (age 8): 5 stars. It's not as good as [b:Homer Price|766917|Homer Price|Robert McCloskey|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1348994806s/766917.jpg|3259531], but it's good. There will big plants and someone who didn't like doughnuts. Why did someone have to jump around naked? "a dit-dit-diddle and a hip-hit-hittle." The end.

Emalee (age 11) 1/2 star. It was stupid. I was a sloppy-loppy-copy-copy little book. They based one of the stories off of the story of Pandora.

Bennett (age 12) 3 1/2 stars. All of the stories were weird and really fictional. They did talk about earwigs, ragweeds, etc. My favorite story was the one with Grandpa Herc jumping over the rocks.
