Being a self-proclaimed feminist, I wanted to like this book so much more than I did. It reminded me a lot of Christopher Moore's Lamb in how the author approached her storytelling and the book's casual, approachable, authentic vibe. But at the same time, it felt a bit shallow and one note, like it never quite reached its full potential. I'm not sorry I read it, I just wished for more.
