I don't understand why there is so much hype for this book. If you watched the news (well besides Fox, Newsmax, or OAN) during this time period you know everything there is to know about the subject. The author doesn't really seem to take a stance on what happened being negative or positive, seems to push blame around but never really say who was to blame and definitely seems to drag his "argument" out. If you were to turn this in as a college essay you would get a terrible grade for not sticking to your own argument. Out of all the books on the topic I would say skip this one unless you were somehow out of the loop during the last year.

It was a landslide! Trump won the 2020 election!! We are just living in a alternate universe where Trump secretly scampered out of the White House to live his great life (that was greater than life as POTUS).
In other news, Trump lost (thank god).
This book had a lot of insight into the end of Trump’s reign. I thought the epilogue was interesting and had some information I hadn’t yet heard.

Great reporting, and obviously you can't look away from the horror show that was the final months of a horrific "presidency," but it also makes you feel gross dipping into the world of these perpetual grifters and raving lunatics. The transcript of Wolff's final interview with 45 reads like something you'd find scrawled in a mental patient's diary. The fact that 70 million Americans still found a way to vote for this lunacy is maybe the worst part of a story that is basically 100% worst parts.

An absolutely enthralling story of the fever dream that engulfed a narcissist as the office slipped away from him; does an excellent job explaining why and how Donald Trump believes the Big Lie.

This was a solid book about the end of the Trump administration. It was easy to read but I was lost at times due to such a big cast of characters that I had minimal background on however this probably has more to do with my lack of knowledge than it does on the writing! It did manage to be simple and compelling and I did enjoy the insight into the end of an absolute circus of an administration.
