I love the Corinna Chapman mysteries. This is a solid installment in the series - maybe not quite as nail-bitingly suspenseful as the first two, but a great romp with some wonderful characters and situations. I really wish I lived in Insula with Meroe, Corinna, Professor Dion, etc. These books are a wonderful escape - perfect beach reading.
Entertaining, love the community she has there, but not nearly as good (IMO) as the previous two. Here’s to the next one!
I didn't love this one quite as much.. The cult was a bit much for me I think.
However, I still really love Corinna Chapman. I will certainly continue reading the series.

This review is for the audio book version. Seems the author can't go without using the 'c' word in her stories. Such a shame because, without it, I would be giving her stories 5 stars. Other that that, the story and characters were enjoyable. I love how the characters deal with three or so mysteries of varying degrees of severity as they go on with their lives, and the humour (intentional or not) that happens throughout. I look forward to listening to the next book.
I like the interesting collection of varied oddball characters that live in the apartment block that houses Corinna Chapman’s bakery. The stories aren’t grabbing me as much as Greenwood’s Phryne Fisher series, however, though I’m not sure why.
I really appreciate how Corinna isn't like Sherlock Holmes, Miss Marple or other detectives.
She puts things together, but rarely goes searching for the information specifically, just stumbles on it and remembers.
