Super fast-paced little graphic novel based off 50s detective style shows and books! Whole lot of fun with very unpredictable action and a nice setting. Gonna pick up some more in the series

This was cute. I liked the plot and am curious to see what other detective type stuff Goldie will get into.

I’m kind of sad that the f/f relationship came at the end, but it definitely makes me want to continue this series so I can see their relationship develop. I can already see how cute it’ll be.

I also love that Goldie is biracial. It’s the perfect addition to the story.

Such a fun read! I've had this series on my radar for awhile now and am so glad that I finally picked it up. The first volume introduces 16-year-old "Goldie" Vance, who lives at a Florida resort with her Dad (who manages the place) and dreams of becoming the hotel's in-house detective. She puts her amateur sleuthing, smarts, and skills to good use in this action-packed installment. It was like a Nancy Drew and Scooby-Doo mash-up that somehow felt simultaneously fresh and retro. Supremely entertaining from start to finish!

I selected this as my choice for the 2023 POPSUGAR Reading Challenge prompt "a book with a queer lead" and the 2023 BookRiot Read Harder Challenge prompt "read a completed webcomic."

I really enjoyed this story! It was fun and fast-paced that was well drawn and told a concise story. The art was beautiful, and I really enjoyed the characters and the designs of them. This story follows the story of Goldie who works at a hotel in Florida under her dad as a valet but when there is a mystery the detective at the hotel can't solve, Goldie is called in to help. I think this story was really fun and I will probably read VOL 2 and 3 today as well. This story is incredibly diverse, Goldie is a poc main character and there are hints of LGBT themes. These two elements of diversity weren't heavily addressed, though they were easily apparent to the reader, and were well written into the story. This story was a fun and diverse detective story.
