I liked this one better than the first one. Mostly because I enjoyed the characters more. But I will say the "climax" fell a bit flat. A lot of build up for something to end so quickly, with a brief synopsis told secondhand after the fact.

Elena and Atlas' relationship and feelings for eachother seemed to be unrealistically rushed, and intense. But with romances like this I've learned I need to take what's "realistic" with a grain of salt.

All in all it was a nice "cozy" read to fill my weekend 😊

Oh boy was this good! I thought Grimstone was great but this one was even better! Just a very different and unique storyline and setting that makes for such an enticing tale that you just can’t put it down! Many thanks to the publisher and netgalley for this copy for read and review!

Another amazing book! Took a little longer for me to get through due to life and work, but it was just as good as Grimstone which is the first book in the duet. This was a dark story where Elena had to come to the realization her fiancé Lorne was anything but good. What happens when Atlas comes into the picture is a twisty ride but the ending is definitely satisfying! Read this book! You won’t regret it!
