SPOILER for a TW later in the review!

I’ve sat on this review for 2 weeks because I couldn’t find the words to describe how much I loved this book. This second chance romance was one of the bests I’ve ever read. this book is THE perfect summer read.

Sarah wrote this book like a poem. It is so descriptive- I could picture every scene so perfectly (which is hard for me to do normally)

I ate up the dual timeline which is shocking since it’s not my fav, but it worked beautifully in this story. I think of one of my favorite parts of this book was watching Darby and Leo as teenagers, falling in love for the first time, Darby getting the space to breath after living under her parents thumb, and feeling safe enough to do have fun with Leo for the summer.

When they made it back to each other ugh their growth together was beautiful watch. I loved it so much. & the spice??? The mirror scene? The car scene? Rent free in my head forever. That mirror scene was probably one of the best things I’ve ever read.

✨Review✨
Sarah Bailey did not disappoint with this book! I can’t get over how much I loved this book. The dual timelines and woven together beautifully and being able to have Darby and Leo’s point of view allowed us as readers to get to know them at different stages in their relationship. I fell in love with both of them. I had all the emotions while reading this book. This was my first Sarah Bailey book and I will 100% be diving into her 2 previous books next! You all need to add this to your TBR now. Will be released on May 7th so mark your calendars!

A beautiful second chance romance told in dual timelines. This book pulled off the amazing task of making me fall in love with Darby and Leo without even noticing, and it was a pleasure to get to know them and their story! Definitely won’t be my last Sarah Bailey book :)

Thank you to Sarah Bailey herself for the ARC, it was a pleasure to be on the ARC team for this books!

i am so incredibly impressed by sarah's writing, i simply could not put this one down. it is the perfect summer romance if you are looking for a lil angst!!

i just loveeeddd this book, check ur tws friends but def pick this one up!

This is my first book by this author, and she did not disappoint!
Heathen and Honeysuckle rips your heart out, stomps on it a few times and then mends it back together. In the best way possible! This is a dual POV and dual timeline.
One timeline where Darby and Leo meet to the other timeline where Leo is rescuing Darby from a manipulative narcissist father who is arranging her marriage.
The heartbreak as they go through this journey of getting closure of their past so that their current relationship can flourish is so beautiful.
Heathen and Honeysuckle also talks about some heavy topics so please check the content warnings!!

Thank you to Sarah A. Bailey for the chance of reading the eARC. Absolutely amazing.

“Don’t ever hide your smiles from me, honeysuckle. I need to see every single one, especially the ones I put there.” I lower my hand to cup her cheek. “Show me every smile, and I’ll do whatever you want, yeah?”

Is Leo perfect? Probably. Did I gobble up this book in one sitting? You bet. I mean he was sweet as a boy and he is even more so as a man. Loving, caring, oh so protective and going all caveman on her when she needed him too. You feel so much compassion for Darby, I really wanted her to reclaim her life. I just loved how their story unravelled with the dual timelines. I will be thinking of them for a while.

I was given an ARC of this book and my opinions are my own.

This book is beyond swoon worthy! I had no hesitation in giving it 5 stars. I was hooked as early as 15% in, there was spice, alot of plot building. Overall the writing kept me interested and engaged. You time just from past to present all while switching POVs from mmc to fmc and its not confusing in the slightest. I will honestly probably constantly think about this book for the foreseeable future
