Sadly this book just didn’t do it for me. I rarely need to look up previous books to do a synopsis and try to remember what happened but with this series, everything blanked out for me.
I didn’t feel any connections to the characters and I found Elowen unlikeable and wishy washy in this book. I feel like if I was more invested the ending would’ve been a good cliffhanger but the only thing enjoyable for me was the smut. The plot itself didn’t intrigue me. The romance was there but it needed more interaction instead of self inflection in my opinion.

4.5 ⭐️I’m in shambles. Absolute shambles. That ending?! I couldn’t stop crying. As always Cayden Veles is a man of few words except when it comes to Elowen. I felt his love through the pages. Elowen is such a badass and I love her so much. The found family just continued to grow this book and I loved everything about it. This book is worlds above the first book. My goodness. I need the next book more than anything. There’s so many unknowns. I can’t wait.
I took half a star because sometimes the writing was confusing. But nevertheless, I LOVED this book.
