This book was very scary. It's well crafted even though sometimes I found it hard to understand the motivations of the protagonists. Generally I would have wished for some clearer resolution at the end. But also, I'm not a big time horror reader and maybe that's just a feature of the genre.

strange and gory, this book does a lot of interesting things but didn't quite hit the mark for me in a lot of ways. a good creepy fall read, but i wish some of the details near the end had been expanded on/there had been a little more at the end -- as it is, the end fell a little flat.
