Trigger warning book. I really enjoyed the family dynamic in this book and the twists and turns throughout. I thought the twist and ending were well done.

I had no idea which character to trust in this audiobook. The author was really committed to mystery genre in my opinion. Throughout the whole book. I was not able to pinpoint whom was in cahoots with whom. I can’t wait to read another novel from this author. No sexual content.

This was good! It wasn’t the best mystery/thriller I’ve read, and some of the reveals felt a little like a stretch, but I had fun listening and was always invested.

This was one wild ride!

Dahlia and her siblings were all named after serial killer victims. They were brought up honoring the fallen, the family obsessed with murder. But the adult children have grown apart since Dahlia’s twin brother Andy disappeared at 16 - and now they are reuniting for the first time for their father’s memorial. But when they go to lay him to rest, they find a body already in the grave. They discover it’s Andy’s body and the secrets they all have been hiding come pouring out. 

I love a twisty thriller full of secrets and this one had so many plot twists that I didn’t see coming. It lost some stars because it’s all very improbable and I have a lot of questions about their bizarre murder-focused upbringing that weren’t fully flushed out. I also did not love the narrator for this audiobook and wish I read it instead, she was very bland. If you’re a thriller nut, don’t miss this one!
