I really liked this one. It has enough twists for a YA thriller and I could definitely see it being a movie or mini series.
I would recommend it as a “light” read.

The audiobook is awful. Dreadful, anger inducing. I zoned out for a lot of this because I couldn’t stand the voices, but also because nothing here seemed to follow logical thought. No one’s behavior seemed to track in a manner that suggested the interactions were based on actual humans rather than an alien’s imagination of humans. Maybe that’s because this is YA; maybe I expect too much. But with a whole host of characters, many of which are introduced awkwardly and late and as if the main character is showing the reader around campus like a prospective student, almost everything becomes trivial and unrealistic. Is this supposed to be realistic? Am I just a bitter person who hates non-realistic whodunit murderous joy? Maybe. But here’s a suggestion: don’t have two characters with the same name when one of them is your murder victim. I think it’s safe to say that’s step number one. If you can’t cover that hurdle, we might be in trouble.
