The characters are what dragged me deep into this book's story. Every character felt so real i can conjure them in my mind as she describes them.

The description of this book has it as a murder mystery but this book was actually not a murder mystery until the last 150 pages. For over 300 pages we spent time getting to know all of the quirky people that make up Indiana's cluster of friends/patients, which was really some good, light-hearted, totally amusing fun. It would give a person of the conservative persuasion a heart attack but for me it was a lot of fun. We get little bits of the murder mystery along the way but not really enough to say that that was what the book was about.

Because of this, I was actually really surprised that once the mystery kicked in, all of that getting-to-know-Indiana's-life was actually a necessary part of the plot. At that point I ended up enjoying it a lot. It ended up kind of a 3.5 stars but I feel that it had the light-hearted fun that I associate with three stars instead of the "really liked it" of a four star book.

I would recommend it for people who want to kick back and laugh at some humor but aren't really looking for a great deal of depth. The eclectic group of friends that Indiana collects were really great and I loved the relationship between Amanda and her grandfather.

This was an awful read, mainly because it reflects an earlier era/way of thinking - transphobic, uninformed, reinforcing patriarchal thinking. I only persisted with it because of a challenge prompted me to read a book with a serial killer, and it kept getting worse. Ugh, glad it's over 🤢😡

Horrible nonsense.

love a good doggy sidekick!!

Fica a anos luz dos melhores livros dela...
Detestei as duas personagens principais, em especial a Indiana! Como é que todos a adoram? É algo que me faz confusão...

Bah!
