I don't know, for some reason this just didn't make me extremely excited or anything. It was good, but didn't really match up to the 1st book.

This review isn't going to be complete nostalgia, because I have never read this book before. I read the first book in The Kane Chronicle and then never read another one. Until now. And let me say, it was just as much of a hoot as I've come to expect from Rick Riordan. I'm not even ashamed to admit that I am now planning on reading every single children's book he has published as a 21-year-old semi-adult. There's just something about the way he infuses humor into every single page of his book that is incredibly charming. Every character is complex and dynamic. The protagonists are so adorable; I would give anything for Sadie and Carter to be safe and happy. If you want a wholesome read, or you have a child who needs a book to read, I cannot recommend anything Rick Riordan has written more.

Estos libros son un soplo de aire fresco, los personajes son entrañables y muy divertidos. Este me ha costado leerlo un poco más porque los capítulos eran más bien tirando a largos, pero me ha encantado igual.

The journey continues with the Kane siblings as a new threat is looming on the horizon. This was a fantastic read, I love these characters and can’t wait to see how things end.
