Another ‘cute and fine’ novella while we wait for her next full novel….

Quick cute novella that delivers well based on the synopsis with a fun little surprise in the epilogue.

I’m a sucker for friends to lovers! Adorable!

My favorite of the three!

Friends to lovers trope. The FMC & MMC were besties and both secretly in love with the other but too afraid of ruining their friendship to say anything. The FMC found a pros and cons list about starting a relationship with a friend on the floor of her job and convinced the MMC to help her find out who wrote it. I was convinced it would be him that did it but you’ll have to read the book to figure out if I was right or wrong. All in all another cute novella in this series and a nice way to wrap it all up.

I adore Denise Williams and will continue reading ANYTHING the woman wants to write but I feel like novellas just aren’t it for me. Friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes especially ones with flashbacks to their developing friendship/feelings… but I felt like the pacing was off to cram basically two whole storylines (past and present) into such a short book. Loved the main characters and the banter though! The side characters had so much potential too but there were so many of them and it was hard to keep track without the pages to dig into them. I really wish it was a full length novel!

I enjoyed this friends-to-lovers novella! THE SWEETEST CONNECTION is the first installment in Denise Williams' Airport Novellas series. I thought this was really cute and I loved the mystery element in this one. Thank you Denise for making the sex scene open-door and steamy!

Thank you PRH Audio for a complementary copy of the audio! RTC!

This novella set has been fun. I had the highest hopes for this last book because I love friends-to-lovers and slow burn love stories, but The Sweetest Connection just fell a little short for me.

First, I didn't love the lost love letter premise. The scenario just took so much time away from developing the Teagan/Silas past friendship and longing filled love story. There were so many unnecessary story lines that were added and for me, they took away from the primary love story. I think just the countdown to Teagan leaving the country would have been enough.

I did like Teagan and Silas and was a fan of them together. The pacing was just off for me throughout the book. They had a sweet friendship and I could tell the longing was there. It just took so long for the past pivotal moment in their relationship to be revealed, and then after that the pacing just went to super speed with hardly any communication about it.

I'm sad to say this was my least favorite of this set because I was really excited about it. I also didn't love that we didn't get a solid epilogue for Teagan and Silas and instead got a random one with two characters that we don't really even know or care about. I still would recommend this series if you are a Denise Williams fan. As a whole, it was a fun little series even if it didn't end on the highest note for me.

super cute premise, fine execution, unfortunately, i just didn't connect with the characters
