Pretty lame but the author did a nice job writing about the feelings and complications of grief and mourning. Recently I lost a friend to cancer and this part in the book helped with the grief.

I thought this book was okay, but not so necessary. It also lacked a lot of that humor that I loved in the previous books.
I'm proud to announce that I have finished!
Also, I'd like to say that overall I very much enjoyed this book. Although expected, it was very entertaining.

This was a really great story, loved learning about this town, and dealing with the issues from the previous book!
Probably my least favorite out of the series, felt different than the first two but HEY. Still damn good
I honestly feel like a 3rd book was pretty unnecessary to add considering book 2 ended on a good note. This book on the other hand was good but felt a bit off, almsot like a spin off in a way.
I liked this book, it showed true growth in all the characters, but I felt it was a little too happy, like more trouble should have followed only it was evaded and such. Still, it was a great conclusion to a story that I'll still wonder about what comes next.

OH
MY LORD
IT'S
BEAUTIFUL
--------------------------------
I finished this book early into the morning, and man, am I pleased.
"If I really loved her, wouldn't I want her to be happy? He grits his teeth. Yes, I do want her to be happy-- I want her to be happy with me. And no pasty pile of bones is going to get in the way of that. "Galen, you have to talk to me. We're getting out of here, remember?" says the pasty pile of bones."
Of Neptune was a great closer to this series. There's a lot of speculation of why there would be the need, but it really did seal the deal on the relationship between Galen and Emma. We see that with this whole introduced maybe-love-triangle guy, Reed. He's a half breed (I almost said Half Blood) like Emma and he gives more options to Emma whilst with Galen, they both have to sacrifice land and water and the expanse time of their lives. But no matter what, Emma and Galen's love is resolute.
“Emma, I will love you with every breath in my body and beyond my own death. I swear to be your shield, your protector, your worshipper. There is nothing I will deny you. I am yours”
Of Neptune also was just a good read. It wasn't war heavy or drama crazed but it was a good and insightful ending to the trilogy which I admired a lot. It tells more about the half breeds, shows us that an entire race of half breed towns are out there, that Neptune is not the only one, which gives us suspense to times are changing and we'll never know if these characters have to fight the humans or fight for their way of life, and it even brings up Jagen and Paca and what happened with their whole crazy idea that some dolphin tricks would lead to dissension.
While there were lots of times where I wanted to grab Emma by the shoulders and just shake her really hard! (For being the most stubborn person) Kind, thoughtful, and protective Galen made up for it :) And I even liked Reed a little. While he was weirdly just. ALL ABOUT EMMA. He's written up so well that the subtle details let us know how he feels and how he can understandably act this way.
Of Neptune is a great book for people who have read the series. It doesn't matter if you've fallen in love with it or if you've had to push through, it's still a good closing that gives a sense of finality.
And the dialogue of all the characters we've come to know is fan. flipping. hilarious.
....
The only problem... I might've had with this book... is that
THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH TORAF AND RAYNA
They were my life back in Of Poseidon-- and god. There needed to be more of them.
