I think this was a really satisfying end to the series, however I felt like there was just so much melodrama that it kind of took away from the really great storyline that was arced through books 1 and 2.

Overall, still enjoyable, but probably my least favorite from the series.

This was a thrilling, slightly scary, yet beautiful end to the series. I loved it from beginning to end-- no surprise there!

SPOILER!!!!!

YAYYYY! They got an island!

It got better but I feel like they're not explaining what happened with the halfblood and laws and stuff.

*Spoiler alert*

Well... what can you say after finishing a trilogy like this? I'm glad that I finished it. I would not re-read it. Especially not this book.

I wouldn't recommend it. If you've read the first two, you don't need this. All the books have their flaws but Of Neptune had way tooo many for it to be a good book.

I'll start with the fact that I really loved the plot. The whole idea of it is interesting, the world of Syrena is built up nicely, and I like the fact that everything fits in like a puzzle. So why do I give it only one star? Let's see:

-1 star because of the characters. The whole time I was reading the book I could only think about Lucinda from Fallen by Lauren Kate. Emma was just as annoying as her, if not a little more. In Of Poseidon she has these funny comebacks and situations in which she brings herself, and I have to say I really enjoyed some parts. But the third book is only about whining. She's so egocentric that she can't even care for her loved one's well-being. Talking about loved one. I feel like Galen's attitude and jealousy had improved but he still had these really aggressive outboursts which just scared me. It was too much. Too exaggerated. And his grief wasn't even proper grief. It was more like a red alarm that made him really aware of dying. Like he didn't know he and Emma aren't immortals to live forever. Sigh

-1 star for the lack of love. Where is the love between these two? I can only see physical attraction and possessiveness. I grew more and more frustrated as the book progressed and at one point I thought I will not finish it.

-2 stars for the predictableness. And this was my main issue. There was no plot-twist that left me shocked or surprised. Maybe it's my fault because I watch too much CSI and Criminal Minds. But I just knew all along what was going to happen. And it bothered me a lot.

So here are the reasons I didn't like this book. I was dissapointed in the end, but this is just my opinion. I wouldn't read it again (the series I mean) but the idea of it will stay with me a long time because it could've been a really great story.

Not as good as the first two in the series..kind of dragging and not able to connect with the book..
Predictable and boring. Expected a good ending. Disappointed.

After I finished the second book I wasn't so sure about the third one it felt like it could have been a duology. Now that I've read it I still think it should have been a duology. Most of the plot was unnecessary drama in my opinion. A few interesting points about what could be improved in their relationship were brought up but they barely have any time together to fix those problems.
Overall I think this book could have been summed up in 1 or 2 novellas

I don't really remember if it was already the case in the 2 previous books, but having 1 POV in first person and the other in the third was a bit annoying sometimes.

Well, the story totally went off in a direction I wasn't expecting, and I was surprised by some of the plot twists, but overall I liked it.

Well this series really took a tumble downhill after book one! I really enjoyed the start of the series but this book was just too much, I couldn’t take it. The characters were annoying and whiny and add in a love triangle and I’m out! My advice, read book one, maybe book two and then forget this one exists.

Ok so I didn't read ALL of this book, but I read the last 15%, which was happy and sweet, and feel satisfied by the conclusion of the series. I NEVER cheat like that, but I've been very disappointed by series ends this year, and I just couldn't face another. When I read multiple reviews saying that 1) Emma and Galen fight and then are apart for the majority of this book and 2) Emma questions her relationship with Galen gets herself involved in a love triangle, I decided it wasn't worth it to me to finish this whole book. In a final book of a series that has a heavy romance component, I want to see my couple working together, and believe why they are a pair. Galen and Emma spent a majority of the last book apart, and I'm not interested in more of that. Or huge fights that lead to extended angst and drama this far into the series. Based on the last 15% it seems like the "love triangle" was mostly one sided and Emma always preferred Galen, but I still don't want to deal with that in a finale.

Obviously, because I didn't read this entire book, you should rely on other reactions. I'm also not going to give it a rating. But I have a good sense of what I can handle in a book and I feel confident in the decision I made for myself regarding this story. Now I'm ready to move on.

I loved books 1 and 2, and don't get me wrong I definitely enjoyed the conclusion of this series, but it felt too easily wrapped up with little to no explanation. What the heck even happened when they saved the day? What happened when they went back to the kingdom? What happened?!
