Meditations has some incredible perspective on having empathy for your fellow man, living an honest and actionable life to live a satisfying life, living with firm principles, living with honesty and humility, and far more other topics relating on navigating life. Despite being written by the Roman Emperor who was also a philosopher 2000 years ago, there are some great perspectives and lessons to be learned from this novel. This is substantially better than any self help book you could read.

A good book to read for the sake of knowing it’s contents. There are more than a few gems to trawl out of the otherwise useless or uninteresting or inapplicable information. I would suggest it be read by those who appreciate stoic philosophy, or are in need of a light read to be occasionally perused before bed.

I really liked this read. I love Marcus Aurelius’s philosophy.  Sometimes hard to follow and takes some thinking. But this was an impactful read for me.

Not really sure how to give a rating to a Roman emperor's philosophical musings.
"Is the cucumber bitter? Then throw it out."
The edition I own came with an excellent set of essays explaining Aurelius' life and how scholars look at the text.
