definitely took some points away from this book, was a bit repetitive at times though
I thought I was going to really like this but if I'm honest about it, after about the midpoint I was just fast-forwarding to the end. I think Aurelius would have been embarrassed by the amount of attention his "Note to Self" notes ended up getting. There are definitely some real gems in here, otherwise, I wouldn't have given it three stars, but there is a lot more rambling about religion and ordinary day-to-day life than I expected. Many of the tenets of Stoicism resonate with me, so hopefully, I'll find another book about it that I find more interesting.

I can empathize with him, but I don't agree with his perspectives of putting aside all feelings for duty. Also, it's so male-centric.
