I'm gonna be reading this, just for a really really long time.

Wasn’t particularly a fun read but I’m glad I read it.

“It never ceases to amaze me: we all love themselves more than other people, but care more about their opinions than our own.

I think a great many people care about opinions of others because they don't love themselves that much.”

It’s amazing but repetitive

One of the most remarkable books of all time. Oh how i long for a leader like Marcus Aurelius. There is more wisdom in these few pages than most of today's world leaders will communicate in their combined lifetimes. It is staggering to me that he wrote this in a tent on the battlefield. I could only read one page at a time there was some much to contemplate. Fear of death? Upset at the way other people are treating you or others? He rids himself of these and many more burdens in a miraculous display of freedom.
