Another bloody classic from Joe Abercrombie. There it all the trademarks, swearing, violence, plans within plans, more violence, twists and small actions with massive potential.

I know I will be reading all his First Law books again and love the extension of the universe. Long may it continue.

Really hope there’s more to come from The First Law world.

Going to be hard to say goodbye to characters I love, characters I hate and characters I love to hate.

Heck an ending to a heck of a ride… I enjoyed this very much, and highly recommend the whole series front to back…

I kinda hate basically everyone left alive at the end of this book, so the next trilogy, if it’s coming might be something, but we will see when we get there…

A beautiful, but melancholic wrap-up to the trilogy. Not every POV character is a home-run, but there's depth to be found in all of them.
  •  “Evil is not the opposite of good. It is what we call another man’s notion of good when it differs from ours.”
  •  “Faith must be shaken from time to time, or it becomes rigid. An excuse for any outrage. I have come to believe that the righteous... should always have doubts.”
  •  “Her mother had always warned her a man is judged by his best moment, a woman by her worst.”
  • "How's the leg?"
