ეს ჰესეს უვე მეოთხე წიგნია რაც წავიკითხე და უნდა ვთქვა, რომ ყველაზე მეტად მომეწონა (ასეთი თანმიმდევრობა იყო - სიდჰარტჰა, ტრამალის მგელი, დემიანი). პირველ რიგში ისევ ვიტყვი, რომ ჰესესგან არავინ უნდა ელოდოს რაღაც უკუნ სიღრმეებში და ადამიანის ფსიქიკის ჯურღმულებში ძრომიალს, რადგან მოლოდინების ტანჯვის საფუძველია :) მაგაზე არაა - უფრო ზედაპირზე ნავით კატაობაა, თუმცა ცვალებად ამინდში. იკითხება (როგორც ჰესეს ყველა წიგნი) ძალიან თავისუფლად და ცოტა ზედმეტად ადვილადაც კი, სტილიდან და თემატიკიდან გამომდინარე რაღაც პატარა სირთულეს ითხოვს მაინც თითქოს... თუმცა გერმანულად ალბათ იდეალური ბალანსი იქნება.
კიდე ერთიც - იდეით აშკარად გავს ჰესესვე სიდჰარტჰას და უნდა ვაღიარო, მიუხედავად აღმოსავლური ამბების ჩემთვის ქრისტიანობაზე მეტად სიახლოვისა, ეს წიგნი უფრო კარგადაა დაწერილი, როგორც ჩანს ჰესეს მშობლიური ევროპული ქრისიანობა მაინც უკვეთ ესმის.
კიდე ერთიც - იდეით აშკარად გავს ჰესესვე სიდჰარტჰას და უნდა ვაღიარო, მიუხედავად აღმოსავლური ამბების ჩემთვის ქრისტიანობაზე მეტად სიახლოვისა, ეს წიგნი უფრო კარგადაა დაწერილი, როგორც ჩანს ჰესეს მშობლიური ევროპული ქრისიანობა მაინც უკვეთ ესმის.

I wasn't sure. And then I loved it. And then I wasn't sure for a bit and then I loved it again.
What at times seems like just a really exciting and captivating adventure story, turns into a philosophical dissection between two friends who could not be any more at odds with each other
Unlike Siddhartha and Steppenwolf I have no idea what the moral of the story is, though. Maybe that's the moral.
Some of the subject matters and language is pretty outdated and vulgar but it's 100 years old and it's set in the middle ages.
Love Hesse and love this book.
