I have to say this is my favorite self help author. He always says what I need to hear and he has a lot of books of various, although not too different, topics. They are easily applicable to many areas of life and I look forward to trying out some others of his despite having read his newest.

This book took me a very long time to get through because there was so much to digest. I often reread, highlighted, and noted in hopes that I could really absorb the information. I have a feeling I’ll be rereading this book for years to come as each time I’ll take something new depending on the time of life I’m in!

This book is a complete life-changer for me. Thank you John Maxwell! Thank you so much for being willing to speak on what it means to be a servant leader. What is means to seek self-development instead of self-fulfillment. To not just want to be successful, but to make a significant impact on the world around us through the gifts and talents God has given us. But that starts with us being curious. It starts with us having a beginner mindset in life - continually humbling ourselves with a hunger to constantly learn and grow. John talks about how he wants to be completely used up at the end of his life. Me too. I never want to stop growing, learning, helping others or developing more into a person who will make an impact. I'm grateful for this book and will return to it over and over again. Now I'm going to go share it with all my friends!

Such a fantastic resource! I read this in conjunction with an online course Maxwell offered, and found the pairing to really take my growth to the next level--above and beyond what "just" reading the book would do (which is still super beneficial!). Engaging, practical, and applicable.

Another solid John Maxwell book. Admittedly i powered through this which is not the purpose that this book was written. This would be better absorbed slowly putting various learnings into practice. Flagging this as one to come back to as I think it would be good to work through with others. Particularly a team that you’re trying to see their own potential.
