This was a very intriguing story for a contemporary romance. I like that the premise was different than a lot of things I've been reading lately. The mystery in this really added a lot to the plot, which I loved; character-focused books aren't hugely my thing. I like that the main relationship was really between the sisters and not the romance, although that was also very well done. The chemistry was definitely there, and the love grew so organically. I like that friendships grew between all the characters, and every single person had grown in some way by the end of the book. This was definitely a heartwarming read, and I really enjoyed it.
Give me a spin-off where Teagan & Salem solve mysteries together ASAP!!!
Quick, light, nothing stellar.I think I just maybe don’t like Kate Clayborn’s work all that much, except Love Lettering, which I keep thinking was typical but I am starting to suspect wasn’t. Nothing is wrong with this - sympathetic characters, an intriguing plot, heartwarming backstories with some minor but sympathetic socially conscious notes (head trauma and contact sports really are a problem and we don’t let male athletes have complicated mental health needs) but it was all a little glossy and smooth and I just never really felt it. Too earnest, absolutely no laughs, just a lot of feelings and while I want them to be happy it’s also a TWO WEEK time period which is honestly a little insta-love which is my least favorite trope of all the possible tropes and there’s no conflict, just very nice mildly fucked up people who deserve a HEA but like I got a little bored watching them get there.
so, so good!
Not your typical romance. It starts off a little confusing getting caught up on what’s happening. The pacing of this book was perfect. It’s quick and jarring when it needs to be, and slow and poignant in the right places. I really loved Georgie All Along and this book was even better.

Angsty goodness from Kate Clayborn. I enjoyed the mystery overlay of the story and the relationship between Jess and Tegan.
