I've read all of the Reacher books as they came out, so obviously I'm a fan. I loved these stories. In a collection, I usually find something good at the beginning, something good at the end, and mostly mediocre in the middle. I didn't have a favorite amongst these...just steady enjoyment throughout.

I love Jack Reacher. I hate short stories--they're over too soon. But then all Jack Reacher novels are. Great book!

This book of short stories gave me my Jack Reacher fix.

I guess I should have read the description more carefully. This is a series of short stories, rather than a new Jack Reacher novel. There's not enough time to develop a story line before it's over and on to the next one.

I enjoy Reacher stories, even when bite sized. Just a bunch of fun little vignettes about other places and things Reacher has done. If you like Reacher books, and aren't one of those, "Ohh, they've gotten bad Reacher isn't the same why isn't it all the same?" Types then this is worth a read. Quick and fun, like trash fiction should be.

And Reacher is trash fiction, that's why we love it.

This collection of Jack Reacher short stories surprised me! The book was my first exposure to Jack Reacher. A while ago, I read this excellent blog post: https://defector.com/my-year-with-jack-reacher/ by Brandy Jensen, which provoked my curiosity.

My brother lent me No Middle Name, which he says represents a departure from the formula. Child's writing is clear and blunt. Reacher's stoicism is appealing (probably because I am the opposite). I'm not saying I will be a completist, but I already have my next Reacher books picked out.
