This was the first time I watched the anime before reading the manga and lemme just say: do not recommend lmao. It sorta takes the fun out of reading the manga, so I'll probably be pretty bored when I read the next volume too lol.

But this was actually probably one of the best volumes so far.

I'm so sad All Might's time as a hero is finally over!

The first two or three chapters had some of the best-drawn fight scenes so far. I have a thing for those full-page illustrations lol.

It was also a little anti-climactic, though. Bakugou gets kidnapped by literal villains and is just sort... okay? No trauma? Nothing? Does this ever get covered? I know what happens next with his arc, but that has more to do with All Might than the huge scary thing he just went through. And everyone else sort of ignores it as well.

That being said, the room tour thing was amazing lol. I hope this introduces at least a few funny sub-plots, because you throw all these teenagers in dorm rooms together? Expect trouble lol. I can't believe

won the contest, any sane person would have voted for Todoroki. Now the only problem is that I really want to go to a boarding school lmao. (Not UA though because oh my god how are these kids still alive?)

The arc that comes next is pretty boring, ngl, since it just takes SO LONG. There are literally like six episodes just of the Provisional License Exam and you meet all these new students? I just didn't care? Lol but I guess I'll make it through. Reading the manga will be a lot faster than watching the anime at least.

This one was rough to read. It’s a huge plot line ending while another is starting to begin. But now they live at UA which I’m so excited about. Things from here just get better. Also I’m glad the room seeing wasn’t just an anime thing. It’s nice to have relaxed normal things happen between these teenagers outside of their high stress superhero things they handle.
