Everything about this book was highly unlikely. The concept was fun, but as soon as she accidentally stabbed him, I lost interest. I usually love Beth's books, so this was a dissapointment.

I have such a soft spot for romance novels with bizarre premises like, let’s say, a one night stand on a house boat that gets lost as sea for 12 days? I was thinking it was gonna be a cutie low stakes novel but it pulled me in from the start and handled heavy topics like grief and identity so well. Wouldn’t call it a palette cleanser but it was such a joy to read. Chicken soup for the soup type vibe

I usually can’t handle tense situations, but this one was just so worth it. You know what’s going to happen, it’s right there on the cover, but every next thing is a new surprise. I also LOVED the ending that wrapped everything up in the most satisfying way you always hope for but rarely get (seriously why do other authors leave that lil cliff hanger of doubt or unfinished plot??). More romantic than spicy in the best of ways as well.

dnf at 80% way too soapy I just couldn't anymore
