Any book I read in a day is always going to be a high rating. I couldn’t stop listening. It was compelling. It’s about domestic abuse and falling in love. It’s about trying to break the cycle. It was a thriller romance that I couldn’t stop thinking about and I would classify it as page turner. It’s not a 5.0 because it’s like super super pro babies. 🤪

this book is absolutely too hyped up and in my opinion, ‘fake deep’. it reads like a poorly written fanfiction from page 1, and moves so fast without anything really happening, it seems. the important moments have corny dialogue that totally pulls you out of it. if that doesn’t convince you to avoid this, ask yourself this, dear reader: do you want to read any book in which ellen degeneres is a major character and catalyst to the plot without even having a line of dialogue?

I really did love his book. I never quite understood the cycle of abuse until it was displayed so clearly and realistically through Lily’s POV.  I also LOVE how the epilogue turned out (minor spoiler: lily and atlas forevaaa). I couldn’t give this five stars because I felt there was something missing, but I just couldn’t put my finger on it. I think this book could’ve benefited from a second point of view??? Idk but still I loved it and I think it’s a great read 💕💕

i originally dnfed this but i came back to it and found that the ending made up for the rest of the book. idk how to describe it i may just not like cohos writing style but it was really boring for the most part and felt dragged out. i didn’t really connect with Lily and i was more interested in the diary entry’s than the present. the ending was very well done though it had me smiling and tearing up.
