a lot of reviewers were upset that Ryle did what he did and wished so bad for his redemption. He gave me a bad taste in my mouth from the beginning. I was team Atlas all the way. Even though In the beginning I had no clue it would come full circle back to him, I was more than pleased it did. I was also extremely proud to see the growth of Lilly and her able to find the strength to leave the man she loved and who loved her because it was not the type of love she deserved.

I had no expectations when I picked up this book. It was literally something to pass the time. It ended up being a well written, though provoking story of the cycle of abuse and the struggle to escape. I am proud I read it and even more proud there will be a second book.

this book broke my heart. I rarely cry during books but it really got to me. the storyline itself was basically predictable and the writing is meh but it was written in a way that gave me all the feels
