this was a tragic love story told from the pov of a victim of domestic abuse by a loved one. this is one of the most heart wrenching books i have ever read and after reading it i am left with a feeling of such a deep nothingness that i’m recalculating my life. 

it’s only a 4.75 because i wanted more time with atlas. other than that i loved this book

I never loved and hated a book so much. The hate comes from the situation but the love is from how it was resolved. <Spoiler> Lily is so brave and strong for not only enduring an abusive household but also an abusive relationship. Throughout the book I admit I am one of those people who saw these situations as “why can’t the victim just leave” but now I see how the love between the partners makes this difficult and the blame should be put on the abuser instead

. This book receives 4.75 stars from me because it isn’t a story I would usually read but I enjoyed it very much.
