Beautiful illustrations that tell a truly important story. The difficulty of being in an interracial relationship and knowing that your partner won't support you. The hard but necessary choice of walking away from a two-year relationship because you know you deserve more. 
This graphic novel is relatively short but packs a punch, handling the topic of subtle racism that is often overlooked to avoid confrontations. Farai is a wonderful main character and I truly enjoyed Charlot Kristensen's storytelling.

A fast-paced reflection of the possible problems in an interracial relationship. Adam's parents are hideously unlikeable, but could very easily exist (sadly). The art was also beautifully drawn and the muted choice of colour was effective.

Moderate: Islamophobia and Xenophobia

The premise is the main girl going to visit her boyfriend of two years's parents and finding out they're horribly racist towards her and others, while her boyfriend doesn't do much of anything to stop them or defend her. In the end, she realizes that he's no good for her and makes the hard decision to end the relationship. It's a really hopeful ending in my opinion and a wonderful book! I just know that this would definitely be a trigger for people who've gone through similar situations.
