I can't believe this book as been sitting on my shelf for so long, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. I can't recommend this book enough to every single person I meet, because honestly it would takes a thousand years to give you all my thought on this book.

But it's just so well written and heart retching that I think half my thoughts on this book would just be tears and sobs.

I would also like to say while this book does not go into very graphic detail of certain things mentioned in the content warnings I still warn you it's better to be safe then sorry. And just not risk reading or even listening to this book if you think you could be heavily triggered by anything in this book.

This book was really really good and I really wanted to finish it, but it was the content that made me was to not finish it. This book mentions and describes in detail topics that readers that have a history with mental health issues, sh, and other similar topics might struggle with reading. The part of the book that I read was written amazingly and was very hooking, but I struggled to read certain descriptions and that made me decide it was better for me if I didn't read it. I'm sure it's a great book, but I would recommend reading a few reviews and trigger warnings before starting to read it.

Charlie a nineteen year old has a messed up childhood. Her father died by jumping in a lake and her mother who loved her father dearly went insane and started beating Charlie as well as because of all this Charlie became secretive and reclusive to share her sadness with anyone. She was often bullied at school which made her develop habit of self harming. Self harm became her solace and after drawing these lines her pain went away for sometime. She started distracting herself by drawing and cutting up her skin. The story starts with Charlie being in a hospital where she is barely conscious. She wakes up in a dorm which not only looks depressing but is actually filled with survivors of self harm. It is a safe place but why did she end up there? Who was he who Charlie is afraid of? How did she find her way out of all the thoughts? Or does she end up repeating everything again?  Who were those people who helped her overcome hurdles and clear the dark cloud of confusion?
