I think if this book would have gone down a different path in the last half, I would have enjoyed it more.

ending felt rushed and was a bit too focused on the relationship between Charlie and Riley i think. also why was everyone just okay with the fact that hes 27 dating a 17 year old ????!??!

God this was heavy. I hated everything that happened in this book but I couldn’t stop.

this book left me speechless, I found myself in both Charlie and Blue,I was so attached to both the characters and the actual book.
it was my FIRST book that I couldn't put down in a long time, I had it everywhere with me.
it got me so broken.
I just finished it and I feel, I feel weird, I feel so numb.
everything was finished, with no unanswered questions at the end, no doubts, no plot twist to leave you in suspense.
I just felt empty, but not empty of feeling, just empty like you feel when you get attached to something, and then you don't have it anymore, that empty.
but I loved every page, chapter, author's note, everything.

the way Kathleen wrote everything made me realize that you know what,I am not the only one struggling, but there are hundreds, thousands, whatever, loads of people struggling. it just made me so happy to see that I can relate SO MUCH to other people as well.

I would give anything to read it for the first time again.

f you're going to read this please check trigger warnings, this book has a lot of dark themes that are talked about which might be hard for some people.

The ending is what brought this from a 3 to a 4 for me. the middle was dull with not a whole lot to keep me invested but the last 75 pages were everything. i cried and i felt that pit of anxiety in my belly but it ended in such a cathartic way that it made the whole experience feel so real and meaningful.
