The brought up a great discussion about gender roles in my class, but I didn’t like the poem itself. It was dense in ways that I didn’t really appreciate and the moral was definitely lacking. I know this was written by a man for other men to read, but it was still in poor taste. I found the article we read about this piece more interesting than the piece itself.
