I was afraid this book might be upsetting but it wasn’t really. A very compassionate exploration of the relationship and communication between a person with dementia and their caregivers. It helped me better understand what is going on neurologically with both parties, as well as why caretaking is so incredibly draining. Wish there were better answers though I doubt there are any to be had.

How do minds entwine? How do minds separate? How do we understand a brain disease in the mind of someone we love? You can know something, but knowing it doesn't mean you can act on it.
A very human book, based on research, experience and conversations. It holds back from making recommendations, but sometimes I wanted more advice, more clarity.
