Well that was one scorching read.

It’s been two years since Conner, husband and brother, died. Two years since Knox lost him. Two years since Eden became a widow. While Knox lives with the burden of guilt, he also can’t stop lusting over Eden. Meanwhile, Eden has slowly been able to build her life back from complete emotional pain and now can’t stop herself from lusting over Knox. The problem, for both, is Conner’s memory.

Ok so falling for a brother in law years after the spouse dies, doesn’t seem like much of a taboo. I don’t know what that says about me, but the angst Knox feels about that seemed a big high.

Anyway, Knox carries a lot of guilt about his feelings for Eden and how his bro died. Knox was an MMA fighter and after graduating college, his bro followed him. His bro died in the ring of an ruptured aneurysm brought on my the fight. And his mother is a pretty terrible mother for perpetuating that guilt. Like seriously awful. But, when Eden begins giving Knox sexual attention, all bets are off. And this is like chapter two!

The two explore a lot of hot sex and in the process their connection deepens. Knox is already in love and it just takes Eden a bit more time to get there. Not that Knox expects her to, the sweet lug. Great ending.

A lot of angst fills this book, especially Knox. But, I don’t think the high angst takes too much away from the book. I’m fine with angst, don’t get me wrong, but damn this man was an angst bomb. He was also walking sex, so there’s that.

This story is HOT. Love the characters, love that the author addressed grief and men getting therapy and seeking their own healing. It was beautiful. I love Eden, yes to a girl going after what she wants. The smut in this book is exquisite
