Cute story! But didn’t realize ahead of time that it was a high school romance and at the beginning I was hoping it would flash forward to present day as the main characters being older. Still cute though

this was such an anticipated read of mine and it suprised me!! i don’t know what i expected but it filled my expectations and also didn’t. like i am rating it 4 stars but in my opinion this book is slightly overhyped…
don’t get me wrong i loved the concept but i just feel like some things in it annoyed me and even though it is a great YA book and i feel like a lot of the younger teens would love it, it just didn’t fill everything i had hoped it would.
i thought that wes and liz were great but they both annoyed me at times and some of the scenes in the book did too.
overall it was a good book and i did enjoy it!!

This is one of the more predictable books I've read, but that's without a doubt the point. Painter is playing off of all the great rom coms and doing so in a way that feels incredibly nostalgic. The fun banter and delightful characters make it a fun ride even though you know exactly where it's going to go
