Absolutely AWFUL!!!!!!! Immature writing that could be equated to a 12-year-old's writing style on fanfiction. The writing tries way too hard to be funny and falls incredibly flat. Feels like a book written for children with an odd, poorly written smut component. Do not waste your time. I couldn't even finish the book because it was so awful. Worst book I think I've ever read, honestly.
I absolutely loved this book. It is so cute!! Octavius is a hilarious vampire, who acts very much like a little kid, and has a sweet tooth. I loved the scene where he kept eating suckers, knowing what would happen if he ate them. The artwork for chapter headers is so cute and definitely adds to the atmosphere of the story. This is the first MM book I have read, and while it is still not a preferred genre to read, I definitely want to read more of this series. All the characters are interesting, the adventure they go on are interesting and well described. Overall, it is a fun book with suspense and some mystery. I highly recommend you read it. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
