I won this book a couple of years back as part of the Goodreads website first reads scheme. I actually asked to read more now, but have only just got round to looking to something nice and easy to read before Christmas.
It was a nice little story, a kind of modern day retelling of Its A Wonderful Life. I actually started reading it expecting not to like it very much, but actually it was a sweet little story even though it did borrow heavily from many other tales. Four example, the clue of who Anthony waswas given by the manner of his appearance, very terminator-esque! It's really great little kid story, I think I shall give it to my nephew now as I'm sure he will love it.

This is A Christmas Carol meets Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, in the writing style of Holes. And all blended together perfectly!

Edit (15/6/2018): Just finished rereading it. Completely worth it.

I've read this book every Christmas (which starts in November!!!) for the last 6 years and i will NEVER get sick of it.

It's so bazaar and the ending is so heartwarming i cant not love it even if it's meant for 10 year olds

A nice, easy read in perfect timing for the Christmas season.
Definitely made me think of It's A Wonderful Life with a British twist, well written with relatable characters, the plight of man gets all wrapped up in a magical Christmas jumper just in time to be put right.

Unexpectedly lovely and not at all what I was expecting. If only real life was like this though.

A cheap impulse kindle buy that I ignored for three years. I really liked this.
It's a bit all over the place to begin with but quickly comes together. A bit of a tear jerker but truly heart warming in traditional Christmas style. Doesn't need to be Christmas to read it. I see that it's a film but I'll just enjoy it for what I've read.
