I think this book is one of the rare occasions where the movie matches it almost exactly. I really enjoyed learning the backstory of Snow and slowly watching his descent into the terrible person he becomes. The only problem I had with this book was that the audiobook format absolutely butchered the songs because they were a weird mix of speaking and singing. I would have preferred if they suck with one or the other.

3.5 I loved the hunger games trilogy when it came out so I was curious to read the set up for President Snow.

I felt like the book dragged a bit in parts but gave some details that would have been cool to know about when reading the trilogy.

I love it more every single time i read it.

Snow is a terrible and awful man.
I started this book blind though i've watched the movie, so i didnt know this book is completely written from Snow's pov. Actually reading his perspective and inner monologue was painful i can barely finish this book. I literally paused this since august and got back to this yesterday with the help of the audiobook to finish it.
Props to Suzanne Collins๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป shes such a great writer.
Though it was painful to
read, this book was great. Thought provoking but not
really shoving it in your face. Its subtle, and sometimes the logic makes sense and reasonable but when you think it twice you realize that its not.
