Trying to find the words to discuss all 3 of these books was hard. Instead, I am quoting a paragraph out of a quick article that talks about these books, that I feel, best encapsulates how they read and what you’re in for. I urge everyone to read these. Especially if you need a good laugh.

“While The House Witch isn’t a literary masterpiece, it doesn’t pretend to be. It’s a fun, escapist read that you can take as deep or as shallow as you want given the themes above. The dialogue was snappy, the descriptions were picturesque, and the story makes a fun comfort read with some chill “hold my beer” energy. The character development was front and center, along with the acceptance of others as they are and the importance of being kind, especially to those who are perceived as less powerful, while also addressing how to achieve these goals with others who are not so inclined and / or aware.”

4.75  ⭐️  I’ve become very fond of the characters in this book! Especially a certain redhead 🥹 I do feel like I loved the first 2 books just a little more. I wouldn’t call this a fantasy romance like I’ve heard some do. And some parts border not being a cozy fantasy.  I loved the side quests and all of the very emotional parts of this beautiful story.

I will say I wasn’t a fan of the romance between Fin and Anika. Mostly because Anika drove me crazy and the way she asked really got under my skin. I think this is why my rating is a 4.75 and not a 5⭐️ read. With that being said, I plan on reading the spin off series for sure. 

Side note: can we talk about how amazing all of the cover art is?!? I love that this author used the same artist for everything

I absolutely loved this as a follow up to book 2. I was genuinely surprised how realistic the somewhat darker themes in this book was, but the balance of humor/good nature of the series was good. I did not finish the book thinking that I was sad from the various events that happened, rather, I felt like it was part of life of the series and events happened because that's how life works in our world. 

I do appreciate how Delemhach continues the world building aspect even though I already know this world well. The continuation of Fin exploring his magical abilities to the political intrigue as the war between Daxaria and Troivack took place was very good.

Another element that I was not expecting to enjoy was the love story between Fin and Annika. This book really showed how they grew as a couple and matured together. I loved the ending of this particular aspect of the book and I'm eager to see what Delemhach has in store for the next book!
